The Carthusian Order Today

Today, throughout the world there are approximately 400 Carthusian monks and nuns in 21 houses, five of them of nuns: there are five houses in France and Spain, four in Italy and one in Argentina, Brazil, England, Germany, Portugal, Slovenia, South Korea, Switzerland and the USA. Another Charterhouse is in the process of being established in South Korea.
